We are pleased to inform you that we are able to offer sports themed activity clubs for the second half of the summer term. The details of the clubs are attached and they will all be led by Miss McAvera, a member of the Sports Premium Team. Whilst we are only able to offer a limited number of clubs for the remainder of this year, we know parents will be understanding that we are restricted to the number of clubs we can run this term as all clubs require outside space. We are planning to run a full complement of activity clubs in the Autumn Term.
Whilst the clubs will require the mixing of some year groups, we are confident the risk of infection spreading should there be a positive case of Covid-19 is reduced as the activities will take place outside. In addition, children will not necessarily automatically be a close contact of a child should they test positive for Covid-19 as some social distancing will remain in place. Children will also wash their hands before and after using any equipment. The equipment will also be cleaned between clubs.
The numbers will be limited to 20 children per club and places will be allocated on a strictly first come first served basis. You will be able to book and pay for all clubs via our online payment system ScoPay. The clubs will be going live on Wednesday 19th May at 5.30pm. Clubs go live on Scopay one by one so please be patient if the club you wish to book does not automatically appear at 5.30pm. Once the club is full it will no longer show on Scopay. Please note that some clubs become full very quickly. If your child would like to take part in one of these clubs please note the foloowing:
The booking and payment of the clubs will be via our online payment system ScoPay. Clubs will cost £12.50.
The clubs will commence the week beginning 7th June and run for five weeks.
In order to book a place in the club, please make the full payment and tick the consent box. We cannot secure the place without the full payment.
For years 4, 5 & 6 you may only book one club to enable as many children to access the clubs as possible. If you book more than one club, the office will decide which club your child will be allocated.
Once a child has committed to attend a club they will be expected to attend every week. Refunds or credits to other clubs will not be given if your child decides they do not want to go any more.
On rare occasions, staff may have to cancel a club at short notice. If the club cannot be rescheduled we will refund the session.
Please make a note of the start and finish dates and the times of the club your child will be attending as automatic reminders will not be sent.
If you wish to pay with Child Care Vouchers please speak to Mrs Wild or email the office before the clubs go live on Wednesday. She will advise you of the process for booking the clubs and paying via CCV.
If you are in receipt of income based free school meals or have been in the past 6 years, then your child is entitled to attend a club free of charge, this does not include the Universal Free School Meals that all Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 children are entitled to. If you are unsure if your child is entitled to the free club please ask the school office to confirm and they will then advise how you can book your child's free place.
